When I was three, I got married for the first time. After all, I got to wear a pretty dress and walk down the aisle, so it was irrelevant that it was my mum and dad saying the vows. At my second wedding (this time for real), we went back and had our own photos taken at the same spot. All that to say, I'm a sucker for cute romantic gestures and heartfelt stories.
Working with Tashina was an absolute joy and so much fun, and the time we had with her was definitely a highlight...Tashina truly went out of her way to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible and her level of communication throughout the process was amazing - very personal and very thoughtful. She took the time to get to know us, what we were after and understand how she could best help us - a true professional! And the little touches of support along the way, photography or otherwise, made the occasion even more special for us...we couldn’t recommend Tashina enough!
I get my creative side from my mum and my very first camera was a gift from my Nana. She was about to miss an important milestone in life and in giving me the camera, she gave herself a window into the moments she was absent from. Although little did she realise, she also gave me a new obsession.
I’m not really a city girl. I grew up in Taupo, with summers spent camping on the farm dad grew up on in Houhora. We've been building our first home and we are almost there now. The camping trips certainly prepared me for the last couple of years of onsite living! Fun times!
Our place is on a small rural block smack dab in the middle of Hamilton & Auckland, so I'm now regionally confused. But I'm very centrally located to Auckland, Waikato, BOP & Coromandel so it makes it easy to come join you wherever you are.
I want you to feel that same connection back to a moment. I don’t want you to just look at a picture, I want you to look at a picture and feel! Remember the feeling of the breeze in your hair, the warmth of the sun on your face, the soft touch of your forever love holding your hand. Laugh a little, cry a little and not just remember, but be transported back in time.
If that is what you want out of your photo experience, drop me a line and tell me about you, your story and how you want to be photographed.
