Let's Chat

01

HOW DO WE BOOK?

Drop us a line through the contact form and we will arrange a time to meet/zoom/call to discuss how I can help you have the best day.  Once we've discussed packages and you've checked out the price guide, you simply choose your package, pay your deposit & sign your contract to get booked in!

02

What's the deposit?

The deposit is $1500 and that goes towards the total balance of your booking. Your final balance is due 30 days before the wedding.

03

Can we do an engagement Shoot?

Absolutely! Some packages already have an engagement shoot included but if your chosen package doesn't, you can add this on at booking or even afterwards you've booked in!

04

Do you travel?

Yes! I'm based on the border between Auckland & Waikato, travel to between Matakana, Taupo & Papamoa is all included  but I photograph weddings all over New Zealand. Get in touch with your location and I'll pop you through a travel quote!

MORE FAQ's

Entirely up to you. Sometimes it's nice to have your family just enjoy the day and be present in the moment with you. If you do allow devices during the ceremony, a gentle reminder by the MC to use cameras discretely from their seats can help me navigate my way around to capture the very best moments.

What's an unplugged wedding?

This depends on the location, required travel time and how many configurations you have for the formal family photos. We comprehensively cover this in our planning session. Everyone's going to be very excited to greet you after the ceremony, so schedule a good 20 minutes prior to the family photos to allow for all the hugs and air kisses. And remember: family photos always take longer than you think they will.

how much time should we allow for photos?

I fully recommend scheduling your day so we aren't shooting your portraits in the middle of the day. Light can often be quite harsh and flat during this time so it’s always better if your photos can be taken when the sun is lower, either mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Sunset lighting can be rather magical too so we can plan around photographing you during this atmospheric time of the day.

What time of day should we do photos?

Dirt is temporary but great shots last forever. Your beautiful dress may get a little dirty, I’ve seen very few dresses make it through without a spot or two.  I won't ask you to hike through a mud puddle, and I'll do everything I can to help you keep marks to a minimum but experience tells me that the best photos come when you aren't overly worried about a little bit of dirt.  There are some amazing cleaners out there who work wonders. Alternatively, some brides embrace the ‘trash the dress’ movement and if that's you, I'd love to be there to capture it.

What if my dress gets dirtY?

The absolutely stunning heels you picked out will look incredible in the photos but probably aren't going to be that friendly to your feet on location. So, a comfortable pair of slip-ons to wear on our photo adventure is a very practical idea.

Should I bring a spare pair of shoes?

If you’re taking photographs in New Zealand there’s a good chance it might rain. If you’re having an outdoor wedding you've no doubt already thought of this likelihood and have a back-up plan. But what about your photos? Rain actually doesn’t change the photography that much, we can still go out and make it work. I keep a few clear umbrellas on hand and if it’s really bad I might suggest a location change to somewhere a little more sheltered that I've scouted earlier.

What if it rains?

My packages can be customized to include an additional photographer. These are all photographers with wedding experience and whose body of work I am familiar with. It's great to have a second set of eyes in the places I can't be, and allows a thorough documentation of both the bride and groom pre-wedding.

Do you work with other photographers?

I offer highlight films as an add on to your photo packages - or in some cases as a solo service. If however you decide to get a different videographer, I will happily accommodate them so they can also capture your day. I can even provide recommendations. When we sit down for the planning session we can look at the best way to facilitate your videography requirements.
