I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Dana & Connor’s wedding at Wenderholm Regional Park, and let me tell you, it was pure magic! Having the Historic Couldrey House as the backdrop for their wedding ceremony was just so perfect.
Our day started in Orewa with the boys getting ready at Connor’s parents place and hanging out in their awesome backyard before I headed to Dana & Connors home, filled with cat’s & dragons (IYKUK). Dana, who is just as much an obsessed mum as I am, had her furry friends right by her side as she got ready at home. It was so adorable seeing the cats investigating her wedding gown that she’d found at Astra Bridal!
Erin Marmont took a lovely wedding ceremony on the porch at Couldrey House, surrounded by the lush greenery and historic charm of the venue. We even had some excitement everyone’s hearts stopped, when the best man accidentally dropped the rings – talk about a memorable moment!
After the ceremony, we wandered around the stunning Wenderholm Regional Park to capture some beautiful shots. The light was just perfect, giving us that dreamy, magical feel. We even had some unexpected guests in our pictures – a friendly fantail pīwakawaka and a curious duck who just had to join in on the fun!
We ended the evening at a relaxed reception at Sharks Club, where the joy and laughter continued.
We really couldn’t have asked for a better day for this Wenderholm wedding. Being able to document all these special moments and emotions was such a privilege for me as an Auckland wedding photographer. It was such a fun and beautiful day, and I’m so grateful to have been able to share it with Dana & Connor.
