I had such a blast with Eileen & Alex during their engagement photoshoot at Karangahake Gorge. During the planning stage, I mentioned that the engagement shoot was the perfect opportunity go and do something that reflected them. This choice was just perfect for them since they both love hiking. It was a bit of an adventure! The recent flooding that had washed out the loop track. But we had looked up the doc website before we arrived so we knew what tracks were open and didn’t let that deter us and had such a great time together.
I really believe engagement shoots are all about showcasing who the couple are as people, and in this beautiful and natural setting it was clear to see that these two love the outdoors as well as each other. Being able to document the love between Eileen & Alex in such a relaxed and fun environment was truly a memorable experience. This engagement shoot not only allowed us to create stunning photos, but it also gave us a chance to connect and get to know each other better before their big day.
We ended our adventure at the old Victoria Battery Site, where the unique structure added a fab and fun background to the photos.
These two were such a joy to photograph!! And having all this nature and history as our backdrop was amazing! I love heading into the Bay of Plenty whether it’s an engagement photoshoot in Waihi or a wedding in Tauranga (click here to see their Tauranga wedding). I always strive to create unique and personal experiences for my clients, so if fun and different is what you want for your engagement shoot let me know!!
