What an amazing day we had celebrating with Justice and Michenna! It was December 2020 and after months of being isolated from each other, it was such a joy to see everyone coming back together again. The energy in the air was just buzzing with excitement.

Overall, it was a day filled with fun and laughter. The love and joy among everyone were palpable, and I couldn’t help but feel a part of something truly special. Being able to capture those moments and emotions is what reminds me why I love being a photographer.
Let me start by gushing over Michenna’s boho-inspired dress was a lacey dream and she looked like a forest princess during the portraits.

Her look was topped off by the dried flower arrangementsThey added such a whimsical and romantic touch to the whole day. Justice had his own dried flower buttonhole bringing this couples whole look together.

Watching from around the corner of the sofa was this ever-attentive & curious cat. It’s always fun to have furry friends around on special occasions, and led to some very special photos.

The Talented Serenity from Serenity Makeup worked her usual hair and makeup magic. Michenna looked absolutely radiant. I love working alongside this lovely lady.

Kumeu Valley Estate was the perfect backdrop for the whole day. The rustic vibes added a touch of charm and warmth to the celebration. The outside ceremony spot was sparkling in all it’s shades of green. One of my absolute favourite Auckland wedding venues.

See…told you, total woodland princess vibes!! Back at KVE (Kumeu Valley Estate) here’s something that stood out to me in a completely different way – A giant cookie cake! That’s right – you read that correctly, a cake made entirely out of cookies!! It was such a unique touch and had everyone’s taste buds dancing with delight. It was really important to Michenna & Justice that we snuck out at sunset. And man o man was it worth it – an absolute showstopper. The colors painted across the sky were simply breathtaking. I couldn’t help but snap away, capturing the beauty of the moment. It was pure magic. Sneaking off down the road to Riverhead forest for some wedding portraits. I love this spot for it’s woodland charm, and the variety of backdrops it offers. So there you have it, my friend. A little peek into the incredible day I spent celebrating with Justice and Michenna. It was everything you could hope for in an Auckland wedding. I’m feeling so grateful to have been a part of it all and to have witnessed such heartfelt moments. Until next time!
