Sam & Elliot’s Matakana wedding at The Stables Matakana was a perfect blend of rustic charm and heartfelt emotion. They shared an incredibly emotional first look right where their ceremony would later take place, setting the tone for a day filled with love and happy tears. Their heartfelt vows had everyone—guests included—wiping their eyes, making this one of the most touching ceremonies I’ve ever captured.

As one of my favorite wedding venues in Matakana, The Stables provided the perfect backdrop for their day. We captured stunning photos on-site, taking full advantage of the venue’s beautiful rustic setting. One of the highlights was their restored yellow Mini Moke, a labor of love that added such a personal touch to their wedding. We took it down to Little Omaha Boathouse for some dreamy couple portraits by the water—one of my favorite nearby spots for wedding photography.

A huge shoutout to the incredible vendor team who made it all happen! Georgia Kane officiated a heartfelt ceremony, Leaf & Honey created breathtaking floral arrangements, and Beauty By Sophie ensured the bridal party looked flawless. The night ended on a high with an epic dance floor, thanks to Wolves & Ravens, making Sam & Elliot’s Stables Matakana wedding truly unforgettable!
